This is the ratio battle you will run into while building Witherbloom, the Balancer. You can't play this commander without creatures on the battlefield or the spell types instants and sorceries in your hand. Where do we begin?

If you are leaning towards token generation, you probably are using enchantments. Enchantments can have incremental value and sometimes are difficult to remove. In theory, they should be on the board for several turns. I always like to have a mental bench mark of an enchantment lasting two turns when I goldfish. However, my pod runs removal quite frequently, so I really expect an enchantment to last one turn cycle.
Personally, I'd recommend running more token generation in the form of instants or sorceries because the efficiency rate is higher. Think of it like this - the instant or sorcery is a one time spell therefore I will get more creatures per mana value. On the other hand, enchantments produce the tokens at a slow rate or a snowball rate.
Witherbloom, the Balancer gives affinity to instants or sorceries spell. Witherbloom or Golgari is know to have multiple bodies enter the battlefield at the best mana rate. You will be creating a token swarm army quickly.
Swarm the battlefield

As I was researching for this article, I came across this card. This is a must buy because of the incredible rate. 4 mana which gives you three bodies that are 3/3 tramplers in the early game!

Ya'll need to starting playing more spells with flashback. Cards like these in the mid or late game can make a difference. Anyways Witherbloom, the Balancer is your commander, you won't even pay a total of 8 mana to flashback the spell.

You already know the famous combo Witherbloom, the Balancer and Sprout Swarm. What you should have learned from that combo is spells with convoke are must haves. Feral Incarnation will never cost you 9 mana! Witherbloom gives affinity to spells and just tap more creatures to pay for Feral Incarnation.
Instant Speed Doublers OMG!

Don't fret because it says "tapped." You created a token army and tap to attack your opponents. Crash the Party allows you to match the same amount of tapped creatures except their 4/4 Rhinos. Those are big bodies!

Notice it gives you the option of flash. It's suppose to cost 6 mana but it won't in a Witherbloom, the Balancer deck.

This card is so versatile because it says "tokens." This can be creature tokens, food tokens, treasure tokens or "other" tokens. You get to drop a copy of all them at the same time.
Always be Winning
Besides an all out combat assault with your token army, you can win in other ways. I'm going to give you two alternate win conditions. They all can be tutored too!
Epic Struggle has been a nostalgic Judgement card for me. Above are spells that can quickly double the creature count to reach the requirement of 20+ creatures. The Sprout Swarm + Witherbloom Combo easily makes infinite creature count.
Biorhythm is janky! You. need more creatures than your opponents which will equal to life totals. You won't even pay 8 mana to cast this - you're opponents will hate you.

Summary
This article is suppose to highlight how impressive instant and sorcery spells can be better for token swarm themes. Witherbloom, the Balancer wants you to cast these card types. I believe they are more rewarding than the commonly suggested Bitterblossom, Chatterfang, and Scute Swarm. Bigger bodies and more bodies!
