The Best Voltron Commander
If you have watched Youtube videos on Quandrix, the Proof, you have seen her on the screen doing "Simic things." That's what they say which means she only mana ramps from all those cascade effects. You might even get a new nugget of information to not add counterspells to the deck. In this article, I suggesting creating a Voltron commander without equipments.
The most notable spell I will mention is giant growth. Giant growth adds +3 power and toughness. We want to use instants and sorceries to buff our commander and swing for commander damage. We want to cast giant growth like spells and cascade into giant growth like spells.
The main reason why I believe deck builders think Quandrix, the Proof is boring is because it actually requires thinking about math and probability. When you put thinking power into this deck, you can create opportunities for certain cards to cascade into. Think one mana drops will appear from cascade when you play a two mana drop spell. Let's say they are all Giant Growth type spells such as Blossoming Defense, Magic Damper, or Primal Bellow. Not only do they add power, they have other effects for one mana. You can set yourself up for combat tricks too.
Cascade gets even better. Let's say an opponent wants to use targeted removal on Quandrix, the Proof. You can cast an instant from your hand which will cascade. With your deck building prowess, you loaded up the deck with one drops that offer hexproof to a creature. Essentially, you can dig through your deck through cascade.

Primal Bellow
It only cost one green mana and can scale the power greatly of Quandrix, the Proof. 10 Forests will turn into +10/+10. You might want to add a Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth.
Blossoming Defense
Even these Giant Growth based spells offer hexproof! When deck building you can always know you can protect your commander using cascade. You just need a 2+ mana value spell in your hand.
Magic Damper
Now you see both blue and green offer hexproof plus the buff effects. If you do enough research you can find a spell that offers a 3rd effect like untapping. Therfore go to combat which requires tapping and untap Quandrix from Magic Damper.

Inner Calm, Outer Strength
You are playing Simic, right? You're going to have lots of cards in hand. Why not capitilize on a no maximum hand size?
Become Immense
You need to add these spells with alternate cost for cascade. It has a 6 mana value but you can cast it for one green. Open mana will always be a threat for your opponents.
Strength of Cedars
Back to more "Simic things" like land ramp, you can buff up Quandrix, just based on your land count. Plus you want these higher cmc spells to cascade into the lower cmc spells mentioned above.

Modal spells offer versatility. This spell offers Giant Growth with trample. Also a removal spell forcing your opponents to sacrifice artifacts or enchantments.

Choose Your Weapon
Doubling a creature's power might be better than just adding +X/+X. Choose Your Weapon is great against the player who thinks they're going to block Quandrix with a Baleful Strix.

Ferocious Charge
The biggest effect for Ferocious Charge is the Scry 2. Why not set yourself up with success in cascade? You can manipulate the top 2 cards of your library while playing a Giant Growth like spell.

It's more than a Simic Commander

What you can learn from this commander is setting up one drop spells that offer protection or boost the power of your flying dragon. Why not swing for commander damage and win the game?
